All lectures and presentations will be held in Pickard Hall, Room 110. Invited speakers include Sandra Chung (University of California-Santa Cruz), Eric Potsdam (University of Florida) and Norvin Richards (MIT).  Each will present a keynote presentation during the three-day conference.

UT Arlington faculty and students will serve as hosts and session chairs. The full conference program, featuring 23 talks, is available at www.uta.edu/faculty/sabbagh/afla20/program.

The event is sponsored by the Festival of Ideas Global Research Institute.

AFLA began in 1994, a small group of linguists met at the University of Toronto to create an organization that promotes the study of Austronesian languages from a formal perspective. More information about the group is available in its website, westernlinguistics.ca/afla.
