Adventures in Antiquity Symposium Open to Public

The University of Texas at Arlington’s annual Adventures in Antiquity symposium will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in the Sixth Floor Parlor of the Central Library, located at 702 Planetarium Place.

The featured speaker is Janet Spittler, assistant professor of religion at Texas Christian University, who will present a talk titled “Credulity and Credibility: Miraculous Anecdotes in Paradoxography and Early Christian Literature.” The winner of the Douglas Carvey Prize for best student essay in classical studies also will be announced. The event is free and open to the public.
