The Texas Cello Academy and Festival at The University of Texas at Arlington will celebrate its 10th consecutive year with four free concerts at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 3, 4, 5 and 6 in Irons Recital Hall in the Fine Arts Building, 700 Greek Row Drive.
Dr. Elizabeth Morrow, Professor of Music (Cello), directs the camp, which will have a record 64 participants this year. Students attending range in age from 9 to 19.
Tuesday’s concert is a faculty performance, followed on Wednesday by a performance by the professional cello ensemble, 440 Alliance. On Thursday, student small ensembles are scheduled. And on Friday, students from the camp will perform solo and as a full orchestra.
