Two UT Arlington departments are pooling their talents for a production of “The Seduction and Deception of Mozart” Feb. 24-25 and March 1-4.
Operatic singing, dancing and sword fighting will be featured in “Mozart,” which includes students and faculty from the Department of Theatre Arts and the Department of Music. Senior Lecturer Anne Healy (Theatre Arts) will direct the actors while Associate Professor Dr. Soo Hong Kim (Music) directs the musicians and singers.
The ensemble cast highlights student talent from both departments, including music senior Anne Marie Boeding, music junior Kimber Carter, theatre arts junior Jordan Chambers, music senior Jerilyn Chou, music graduate student Ara Chou, music junior Jonathan Cole, music freshman Miranda Culp, theatre arts junior Winston Daniels, theatre arts junior Molly Dobbs, theatre arts junior Wesley Farnsworth, music senior Laura Herrera, theatre arts sophomore Hannah Kashmar, music senior Christopher Leach, music sophomore Elizabeth LeRosen, music sophomore Nancy Lopez, music sophomore Freddie O’Lenick, music senior Jennifer Manuel, music senior Gregory Ray Perry Jr., music graduate student Rachel Shirk, music graduate student Sinae Song, music junior Dana Taylor, music sophomore Chan Wook and music junior Misty Wycoff). Yuman Lee, doctoral student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, rounds out cast.
“Mozart” will run for two weekends in the Mainstage Theatre in the Fine Arts Building. Performances are Feb. 24-25 and March 1-3 at 8 p.m. and March 4 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for general public, and $9 for senior citizens, students with ID, and UT Arlington faculty and staff.
