Communication Students Take 3rd in Contest

From left, Katie Kiger, Candace Brown and Kameshia Massey were part of the winning UT Arlington team in last month’s America’s Natural Gas Alliance Collegiate Energy Challenge.

A student group from the Department of Communication, 360 Local, placed third last month in the America’s Natural Gas Alliance Collegiate Energy Challenge Scholastic Achievement competition in Washington, D.C.

Participants Katie Kiger, Candace Brown, Kameshia Massey and Gabrielle Rhodes were led by Dr. Tom Christie, associate professor of public relations, and Melinda Long, undergraduate adviser.

Auburn University finished first while the University of South Florida was second.
