New Faculty Join Liberal Arts Family

More than a dozen new faculty will be joining the College of Liberal Arts full-time this year.

As the student population continues to grow at The University of Texas at Arlington – official enrollment figures will be released next month – administration officials have hired new professors and instructors to meet demand.

“The College of Liberal Arts is delighted to welcome these new faculty members,” said Dr. Beth Wright, Dean of Liberal Arts. “They have earned degrees from the best programs in the nation and the world, and received national awards in support of their research and creative activity. These excellent faculty members accepted our offer because they want to work with us, and they value what we are already doing. We look forward to a wonderful year.”

Newly hired or promoted faculty include:

  • Dr. Dustin Harp, Assistant Professor (Communication)
  • Dr. Anne Healy, Assistant Professor (Theatre Arts)
  • Sedrick Huckaby, Assistant Professor (Art & Art History)
  • Tim Ishii, Professor (Music)
  • Dr. Heather Jacobson, Associate Professor (Sociology & Anthropology)
  • Dr. Tony Love, Assistant Professor (Criminology & Criminal Justice)
  • Dr. Ashley Miller, Assistant Professor (English)
  • Nancy Palmeri, Professor (Art & Art History)
