Communication professionals from through North Texas will be on campus Nov. 1 to coach students and share their tricks of the trade at the Department of Communication’s fourth annual Communication Day.
Comm Day 4.0 is a “celebration of careers in communication,” officials said. The event, held in the E.H. Hereford University Center, is designed to offers student a chance to network with top communication professionals and distinguished alumni who are eager to share their experience and help students increase their potential of landing a coveted communication position.
Jennifer Latner, Director of Public Information for the Gladney Center for Adoption, is the keynote speaker. Latner has extensive media experience, working with People magazine, Oprah Winfrey Network, Lifetime, MTV and other media outlets.
In addition to several scheduled round-table discussions and information sessions, the event will host a networking session for job-seekers.
Comm Day 4.0 is an opportunity for students to explore the rich and diverse field of communication, including advertising, broadcast, communication studies, communication technology, journalism and public relations. The event is not limited to communication majors; all UT Arlington students are encouraged to stop by.
