UT Arlington-based The Breakfast Machine will kick off UTA Radio’s Rocktober concert series next month.
The series, which begins Oct. 2, will be held at noon each Wednesday through October and feature a live, local band.
“I think the series is a great way to engage UTA students with the style of music UTA Radio plays,” says Station Manager Charlie Vann. “We’re thrilled to have a rising star like The Breakfast Machine headline our series.”
In addition, Rocktober will feature performances by The Raven Charter, Kites and Boomerangs and Steve Stanley & The Mercs.
Rocktober is a no-frills event which aims to expose local Dallas-Fort Worth indie talent to a college audience, organizers said. The first and fourth shows will be held between Wolff Hall and the UC, the 2nd and 3rd will be at the library mall.
