For the second consecutive year, the Dallas Women’s Foundation is providing grant support for the Women’s History Month Lecture Series at UT Arlington.
The series, held every March, is organized by the Women’s and Gender Studies Program. Program Director Desiree Henderson said she is thankful for the Dallas group’s continued support.
“We are extremely grateful for their partnership, which enables us to continue to host events that honor women’s accomplishments and contributions to society,” she said.
In its 28th year, the theme for the 2014 Women’s History Month Lecture Series is “Superheroines! Female Heroes in Fact and Fiction.” The keynote speaker, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Geraldine Brooks, will speak on March 24. Other events will be announced, Henderson said.
The Dallas Women’s Foundation is a philanthropic organization that supports organizations that serve women and girls in North Texas.
