Dozens of students and faculty from the College of Liberal Arts were on hand Thursday, April 17, for the 2014 acCOLAdes event in Irons Recital Hall.
This year’s Dean’s Accolade Awards went to Assistant Professor Ya’Ke Smith (Art & Art History) for his work with art major Ryan Britton; to broadcast lecturer Julian Rodriguez (Communication) for his mentoring of communication majors Angelina Armendariz and Laura Romo; and to Assistant Professor Krystal Beamon (Sociology) for her work with student Ceola Brown.
Liberal Arts scholarship winners were announced and students and faculty members who have received various research grants or other academic awards were recognized. For a complete list of winners, view the program on the event’s web page.
Following the awards event, recipients and guests were invited to a reception at The Gallery at UTA.
