‘Beyond Memory’ Opens at Gallery 76102

Creative self-expression is at the heart of a new Gallery 76102 exhibit, “Beyond Memory: Paintings by People with Dementia.”

The exhibit, a collection of work by local community artists, was organized by the North Central Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The work celebrates five years of “Memories in the Making,” an art program for people with dementia that brings the joy of creative self-expression to residents of area dementia care communities, officials said.

The exhibit runs Jan. 16-25 with a special opening reception slated for 5 p.m. Thursday.

Framed and matted paintings will be available for sale via online. Calendars, note cards and small matted paintings will be for sale at the event. For more information, please visit www.alz.org/northcentraltexas.

Gallery 76102 is located at UT Arlington’s Fort Worth Center, 1401 Jones Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102.
